Elegant dining around a large spreading oak tree - Chiusdino (Siena)
Built around a giant spreading oak tree and overlooking sweeping views of the Tuscan hills, La Trattoria Sull'Albero evokes the feeling of dining in a spacious treehouse. Inside, the light-filled interiors reveal tables set beneath the oak boughs, trailing plants and exquisite wood detailing. Exposed beams and leather armchairs pulled up to a double-sided fireplace by the rough-hewn wooden bar create an elegantly rustic and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for enjoying a traditional Tuscan meal by the fire or a glass of wine on the terrace looking out over Borgo’s vineyards.
The construction involved a series of micro piling to secure the complex structure, all whilst not damaging the original roots of this 300-year-old oak tree.
